Kiyomizu-dera
I live in Kyoto for a while now and lately I finally felt that I should visit Kiyomizu-dera.
Because it`s one of Kyoto`s most famous sightseeing spots I wasn`t so willing to go there because of the crowds. Although I saw some pictures and I read about this place and I thought that it is very interesting. So finally when I had some free time I went to see it. It was a week day and it was in the morning but many people were there already. However, it`s quite big complex so even though, it wasn`t so crowded as eg. Kinkaku-ji.
Kiyomizu-dera is really beautiful place. From it`s terraces I was able to admire beautiful view towards Kyoto city. It was very pleasant day. The sun was sihing so it wasn`t too cold, and it was very nice to take a peaceful stroll around this area.
Beside the main temple, Jishu jinja is located. Very beautiful place. The most interesting for visitors are two `love stones`. It is said that if you walk from one to another with your eyes closed you will have good luck in love, and your love will last forever. Many people tried to manage with that challenge, however not everyone succeeded.
